Hunter's First Birthday

Well it finally arrived, the day of the big party. I swear i have been in party planning mode since May. Anything from the invitation to the cake to the food to just making sure Hunter had a nap at just the right point in the day to insure that he would be ready to party! We had a blast. Everyone was there and I couldnt have asked for it to go better. Here are a few pictures that i wanted to share to show exactly how much fun everything was!!!!

Well anyone that knows me knows that I just absolutely adore my little niece, Olivia which is 2 1/2 and my nephew Jack that is just 3 weeks old. Olivia makes me laugh everytime i am around her. It amazes me that someone her age can tell you colors, point out shapes, and have such a detailed conversation. And just like she told Heather (my sister) when we were on the phone this morning, "Mommy i need to go to the doctor about my back" and Heather ever so motherly said "ok sweetie we'll go to the doctor" knowing that Olivia had apparently picked this up off of a show she was watching or something, the things that come out of her mouth just amaze me! She is so precious. And she is now the bestest big sister to Jack. He is so precious. Right now he is in eating and sleeping mode and getting a little bit more awake by the day! Hunter can't wait for him to get big so they can run around together. If my next child is a boy, poor Livi, she is going to be running from boys forever!!!! haha! Everytime Hunter sees Olivia you dont even have to barely ask him to give her love, he immediately goes in for a hug and a kiss. Well i just wanted to share this with you because in my posts i am sure you will see lots of references to them because we are so close and love spending time together!

Hunter's 4th Haircut

All of you may think the title of this is silly...why in the world would i think it is important to blog about the 4th haircut? Well for one the pics are precious, and for two, the boys hair grows so quickly that we get haircuts about once a month, and probably could even get them cut even more! Well anyway, here is a before and after of his haircut last week. And please note how the first pic he is all in the chair like a big boy and then by the final pic he is actually sitting on the vanity. His Gee does his hair so we think this is extra special!

The Party Before the Party

Well our little man turned one years old on August 16th! As you will see in the pictures he had a breakfast fit for a king. Since we werent having his party until August 23rd then we figured we would do a special little family day and celebrate. So we started with a homemade omelet breakfast (courtesy of daddy) in his birthday seat

And then we got dressed and headed to the zoo! We had a blast. Hunter really got into the animals on this trip. We purchased a membership a couple of months ago and we just love going.

Please look closely at Lala in this pic...i mean could she be any more worn out in her bamboo filled, air conditioned room? haha

And then after the zoo we went to see Gee, LeeLee and Elijah where Hunter got this really cool ride on toy. He loved it! And after this we headed home after a long fun day and prepared to countdown for the big birthday bash that was to come!

First Blog - Jumping on the bandwagon

Well i am joining the blogging world! I ahve several friends that have blogs and i love going to them and looking at their interests, families, and just how they are doing even if the day to day ends up to busy, we can still keep in contact in this internet world.

Each month since Hunter has been born I have sent out pictures by email of different things through the month and filled everyone in on his interests and new things he is doing but i have decided that since some email boxes get clogged up with my large picture files that this might be best. And this away i can blog through out the month and hopefully make it interesting enough to look at! I hope you all enjoy and i hope i figure this thing out enough to keep up with it!!!!

I am blogging from my work computer right now so i am going to attempt to load a picture so pardon the old pic cause i dont have too many recent ones saved on my computer here! I just want to test it!
